Context
Centrica Business Solutions has a large portfolio of energy assets with which they provide balancing services to Elia. As an innovative player, Centrica is at the forefront of the development of battery projects in Europe. With already several realized projects they have a lot of experience. In Belgium, Centrica is currently building a 50MWh battery park in Ostend.
The role of hop
The role of hops in this project is multifaceted. Hop is present in supporting the general project coordination. From the permit process to realization, we follow up the project. Hop ensures good coordination between the various parties involved and also keeps an overview of the entire project.
We do the complete supervision from permit to purchase and execution. Where necessary, we provide technical input and support. For example, we already supported in the analysis of fire safety, the drafting of specifications, a technical cable study, etc.
