  • Characteristics: planning, stakeholder management, site coordination, working method

Context

The demolition of the line 150-5 & 6 Brugge Waggelwater - Eeklo Pokmoer is linked to the realization of the STEVIN project. This old high-voltage line has a limited capacity and can be demolished after the realization of the 380kV Stevin connection.

This was provided for in the Stevin project MER. The TR42113 demolition project of the line 150-240 & 241 Eeklo Noord - Brugge Waggelwater and the undergrounding (TR42112) are also linked to this. Now that the works of 42112 and 42113 are completed, the demolition of the 150kV line Brugge Waggelwater and Eeklo Pokmoer may start. To guarantee the supply of the Eeklo-pokmoer substation, a temporary emergency cable must be installed.

This project is part of the larger Stevin project.

We are reinforcing the existing high-voltage grid in West and East Flanders to transmit a greater quantity of electricity from the coast to the interior of the country. The reinforcement is accompanied by the construction of new overhead and underground connections. At the same time, we are demolishing 53 km of old lines and bringing 35 of them underground once the new connections are in use.
